4th Of July

Jim and I had a fabulous 4th of July. First our friend Joe from Chicago and some of his buddies plus our friend Mark came over for a bbq. Then we joined our neighbors in some Mexican singing and beer-drinking (even though we didn't sing:) and then we saw fireworks at Powderhorn Park near our house. It was great because Jim and I got to spend the whole day together.

Here are some fireworks pictures. I thought the finale would rock, but it was more or less a lot of sounds and not too pretty. Oh well:).

Camping (Featuring The Walking Canoe)

Jim and I had a *great* idea ... to hike more than a mile to our camp site. Not really a big deal... right? Well, we were surprised at how sore we actually got.

The beautiful St. Croix River ... see the opposite bluff, we camped on one similar that is behind us in the picture.
